Pros: Cool systems where the stats actually matter and push the engine in ways that, while better suited for other engines, is pretty well implemented here, decent premise and setting, and fairly likeable heroines. It's a respectable RPG that honestly is pretty well put together.
Cons: The MC is a moron almost to the point of being unplayable without wanting to mentally retch, too many dream fantasies H-scenes and not enough reality banging that make it almost feel like i'm not really getting anywhere, takes too damn long for the main heroines to get laid, and doesn't offer up enough actual lewd fetish options for how much it takes to actually get anywhere on top of being pretty damn vanilla. I'll admit, the last is more of a nitpick but I like options and wish stuff like anal and group content was just added in already... and not that stupid dream sequence crap.
Honestly, and bare in mind that I'm only speaking from my own personal experience bc this just needs to be spelled out nowadays, this is one of those games I 'want' to like but is held back by too many design choices that keep me from playing long enough to not want to punch the MC in the face. I know it's kind of a trend to make MCs kind of stupid/dull/just kind there... but it's a trend I just can't stand.
Essentially, the game world, game loop and gameplay are great, especially if you like RPGS and character progression taht feels like it matters.
The real pitfalls, at least from my own experience, are squarely at the foot of execution and implementation choices. It just... ended up making a very polarizing experience for me that kept me from truly enjoying the game as much as I wanted despite it hitting some of the things I like kink and gameplaywise.
It's something that less feature and system rich games just plain did better with and is, if nothing else, a case of the gameplay and heroines being great, even calling out the MC for his moments of stupidity in an almost meta but equally frustrating way that just... kept me from sticking around.
are all of the sex scenes just imaginary? i have played through all the quests and i haven't once had sex with any of the girls besides the bad ends which don't count. have i missed something or is it just not in the game?
